- elegant stone, wood and bronze figures depicted such themes
- as mother and child and Apache warriors and dancers; in Santa
- Fe, New Mexico. In April, Houser, who was awarded the National
- Medal of Arts by President Bush in 1992, presented First Lady
- Hillary Clinton with May We Have Peace. The bronze sculpture
- depicts a man holding a pipe aloft as an offering to the Great
- Spirit.
